What a crazy day for a run!  That was the wettest, coldest, most insane run I have ever done!  I am so glad I did it, now that it is over anyway.  My husband and I stayed together the whole race and it was super cool.  I wanted to go home at about Dameron Valley so bad tho!   I saw a friend of mine with an umbrella and a warm coat and she gave me a quick hug to try to get me warm.  I told her that this year it was too cold and just not worth it.  I probably would have bailed and got on the shuttle if Marty hadn't been with me.  I have never seen so many people use those shuttles or the ambulances needed as much as this year. I decided it wasn't too bad as long as I kept moving.  We weren't exactly moving real fast, but we got it done anyway.  I totally enjoyed crossing the finish line with him.  I think that moment is the highlight of my year. I was out on the course for longer than usual, but it was worth it to be with him for his first (and most likely last) marathon.

Thanks to all of you that have been so encouraging and helpful during the last few months of trying to train.  You guys are the best!

Carrie! Sorry I'm so late reading your race report!! That is WONDERFUL that you ran and ran with your hubby too! I know you really wanted to do the race together- what a special memory. Congrats to both of you!
