Oh my goodness! I am so glad I was meeting Christi today for the run or there is no way I would have got any miles in. I've got two kids with birthdays this week, my mileage and my sleep have suffered because of it. I did get some workouts on Thursday and Friday, just no running.*sob* I'm sure that if I wasn't meeting Christi I would have stayed in bed and got nothing but cake and ice cream. Thank you Thank you Thank you C!!!!!

We did just over seven on a hilly course and averaged a 9:36 m/m. I had such a great time getting to talk with Christi and Heather, I'm really going to have to go with them again. I love this blog! I am meeting some wonderful people, getting great advice and lots of encouragement. Plus I feel like I am improving with each run now. Life is so cool some days! ; )

Carrie - for best results, treat your running like a job. You show up when it rains, snows, and even when you friend you like to visit with does not show up. Why? You do not get paid if you do not show up. Same with running. Your fitness does not improve if you do not do it. Your run must be a given. You need to learn to run unmotivated.
